Air Arabia To Launch Service To Two New Destinations In Ukraine

Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today that it will shortly introduce direct service to two new destinations in Ukraine, expanding its presence to three major cities in that country, including Kiev, Kharkiv and Donestsk; reaching 67 across its global network.

Beginning October 7th and 12th, Air Arabia will offer regular service to Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city, and Donestsk, a major urban centre in eastern Ukraine with a population of 1.5 million. The launch of service to these two Ukranian cities will complement Air Arabia’s existing flights to Kiev, which the carrier serves five times a week.

Service to Donestsk will be twice weekly, including flights on Tuesdays and Fridays. Air Arabia flights will depart from Sharjah International Airport at 12:20PM and arrive at Donestsk International Airport at 15:40PM. Return flights will depart from Donestsk on the same days at 16:40PM and arrive in Sharjah at 21:50PM.

Air Arabia will offer service to Kharkiv every Wednesday, departing from Sharjah International Airport at 10:00AM and arriving at Kharkiv International Airport at 14:10PM. Return flights will depart from Kharkiv on the same day at 15:10PM and arrive in Sharjah at 21:00PM.

Air Arabia Introduces Flights To Yanbu In KSA

Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today the introduction of a new flight destination in Saudi Arabia, from the carrier’s primary hub in Sharjah, UAE. Beginning November 1, 2011, Air Arabia will offer 3-weekly flights to Yanbu, making it easier and more convenient for passengers to travel between the two Countries.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays flights will depart Sharjah International Airport at 13:00 arriving at Yanbu Airport (YNB) at 15:45. Return flights will depart Yanbu at 16:25 arriving Sharjah at 20:30 (local time).

Shurooq To Set Up Environmentally-Friendly Facilities For Children With Special Needs

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is planning to set up environmentally-friendly facilities, as well as some play rides carefully chosen for children with special needs, within the Al Majaz Waterfront project.

According to Marwan Bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of (Shurooq) this forms part of Shurooq’s vision to develop high-quality projects that will enhance Sharjah’s reputation as a distinguished tourist and investment destination.

He said: "In order to address environmental challenges, protect our natural environment and improve environmental practices, Shurooq, in cooperation with Bee’ah - The Sharjah Environment Company, is currently embarking on a host of eco-friendly projects and events at Al Majaz Waterfront." Al Sarkal pointed out that environmentally-friendly plants were used at the Al Majaz Waterfront project, and that the project’s LED lighting system will help conserve 93 percent of the power consumed by traditional lighting. Bee’ah, the Middle East’s integrated environmental and waste management company, has launched a new outdoor advertising media on pedestrian recyclers pioneering a way to use wasted light.

The new advertising media utilises reflective boards placed on Bee’ah’s pedestrian recyclers situated at prominent locations across Sharjah, to illuminate environmental corporate messages during night and day.
