We have been asked to source for a suitable Senior Reservoir Engineer to work on a single or married status in Sharjah in the UAE with a reputable Oil Company. Principal Accountability : 1.To carryout technical work/ studies to support well proposal, drilling and testing programs. 2.Economic evaluation of any potential prospects. Job Content : ?Plan & Carry out reservoir development studies ?Conduct fluid characterization studies for gas, gas condensate, and black oil reservoirs. ?Conduct reservoir simulation studies with / without production history ?Carry out single well, multiwell, and cross-sectional models using Eclipse Simulator Software, PI matching, fluid transmissibility, and distribution. ?Acquire & evaluate pressure transient test , nodal analysis and production data analysis ?Knowledge of well hydraulics, well flow and Gaslift softwares. ?Evaluate and optimize horizontal wells. ?Comprehension of reservoir geology; layering and mapping Experience: ?M.Sc. in one of the geo sciences from an internationally recognized institution. ?A minimum of 10-15 years stretching discipline-specific experience, with a strong emphasis on research and development involvement. Ideally gained with a leading operating oil company including significant time spent in Middle East and more favorably Gulf area. ?Excellent written and spoken English language ability. ?Excellent abilities in systems usage in area of specialism and more widely. Ideally we are looking for: ?Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team as a "hands-on" contributor primary technical advisor, and/or project manager - small/medium sized company culture preferred. ?Reservoir management skills (production, recovery optimization, field development, depletion curve analysis & field economics, etc) ?Field reservoir engineering skills (background to include : reservoir simulation, modeling, material balance analysis, well test interpretation) - Highly competent with more or more main stream simulation packages.(eg Eclipse, VIP) ?Particular experience in the development of different size fields from a grass roots level, with knowledge of technology of the EOR/IOR methods very useful specially for Carbonate reservoir ?Developed understanding of G&G, Petrophysics, well operations, production engineering and E&P Economics. ?Able to support other colleagues and mentor the development of less experienced professionals ?Participate in TCMs Partner and Govt meetings. ?Excellent communication skills combined with high quality report writing - able to write a competent persons report. ?Capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure in a dynamic small company where occasionally the defined work boundaries may blur. ?Willing to travel at short notice to the company`s overseas operating sites. -will include Iran & Iraq (Kurdistan) Aware of and able to handle the cultural sensitivities and sometimes frustrations of working in a Middle East environment.
