Dubai: A total of 1,505 people will benefit from housing loans and grants approved by the Zayed Housing Programme.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the board of the Zayed Housing Programme, approved new housing loans and grants for the beneficiaries. In all, 996 loans and 509 grants will be provided to beneficiaries in all seven emirates.
Mohammad Abdul Aziz Jasem, deputy director general of the Zayed Housing Programme, said that the initiative would be sending across letters to the beneficiaries to inform them of the approved grants or loans.

He said that beneficiaries could also visit the programme's website to enquire about terms and conditions to be followed for completing the process.
He also called on the beneficiaries to make use of the specified time period to avail the assistance and to collect the grant or loan. The Zayed Housing Programme has also adopted a number of measures to reduce the cost of construction of houses.
Partnership deals with building material companies are among ways of meeting such goals and ensure that building materials are supplied at reduced prices to the beneficiaries of housing loans, Jasem said. Discounts of up to 45 per cent were on offer, he added.

The programme has set up a toll-free number 80092933 to assist beneficiaries who have received approval.
