A leading contractor in the oil, gas and energy-related construction and services industry in the Middle East is looking for a Piping Superintendent to join them.
Duties and Responsibilities: It is the responsibility of each individual to familiarize himself with all safety rules & regulations, attend required safety trainings & to participate in the required safety programs (STOP, ASA, Risk Assessment etc.).

Responsibilities also include – reviewing weekly Safety Reports to ensure no slipping actions and to resolve issues with Supervisors or give feedback to Manager if necessary. Understanding Emergency Response, Fire Escape & Safe Workplace Arrangement plans and disseminating information to subordinates.Activities further include the need to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in piping, supporting trades and enablers. Setting up the trades project organization chart(s) and to assign Supervisors positions, also, assisting Supervisors in assigning foremen positions.
•To study construction methods and to highlight bottle necks and potential risks is also included in the tasks. Analyzing plans and projects to determine needs for supplies and sequence of operations required. Verifying if work issued is sufficient to meet/beat schedule and to maintain proper labor and supervision workload. It is necessary as well to resolve day to day issues and to implement workaround plans in liaison with the management. Verifying that progress made is being reported correctly and to analyze progress in collaboration with Supervisors and Work Pack Engineer.

•It is also required to oversee necessary logistics, equipments and materials required and to mobilize and demobilize manpower as required. Overseeing the distribution, execution, completion and close out of work packages as per target budget and set schedules. Supporting lower supervision levels in resolution of key issues. Monitoring performance, making suggestions and implementing corrective actions. To drive technical improvements, e.g. in tooling, sequencing and working methods. To review Project Specifications and Quality Requirements with Management and document differences to the yard standard practices, and then roll out to supporting supervision ensuring they are understood correctly.

•Coaching crew to meet required levels of quality. Provide on the job training and support for his team. Identify training needs and facilitate delivery of training.Planning and defining Tool Box Talk topics and Issue to Supervisors for distribution. Maintain records of TBT completed and to share with safety if relevant.Maintaining necessary records of production, labor, employee performance and equipment. Arrange reports and redlines as requested by management. Provide competency and capabilities assessment of supervisors and foremen. Arrange daily feedback to team on performance. Monitor PI performance and direct supervision on improvements.Promote a safe, organized and pleasant work environment within his area of responsibility.
