GCAA signs MoU with UK

WAM Abu Dhabi, Nov 9th, 2011 (WAM) -- As a forward step in achieving its strategic objectives, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) last week signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Department for Transport Directorate of Aviation of UK on cooperation relating to Aviation Security.

The MoU was signed by Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the GCAA and Dominic Jermey, the British ambassador to the UAE (on behalf of the Department for Transport Directorate of Aviation).

The objectives are to promote cooperation for the development and exchange of information, technical expertise, exchange of experiences and training programs in the field of Aviation Security It is worth mentioning that many MoUs intended to be drafted between the GCAA and others international authorities leading to achieve a secure environment through these alliances.
