GCC health ministers to discuss non-communicable diseases policy

WAM MUSCAT, 3rd Jan 2012 (WAM) -- The Council of Health Ministers of the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will examine in its 72nd conference in Muscat on Wednesday the group's efforts to combating non -communicable diseases.

The health meeting will be held under the theme ''Countering non-communicable diseases''.

Dr. Ali bin Jaafar, Oman's Health Ministry Advisor and member of the council's executive authority, said the ministers would discuss the Manama bill on non-infectious disease, reports and recommendations and follow up on the mechanisms to implement the Dubai declaration.
