Dubai: An African woman was arrested while allegedly attempting to smuggle over seven kilograms of cocaine to Addis Ababa through Dubai Airport's Terminal 1 last Tuesday.
The suspect, identified as T.N., was arrested after the Dubai Police Anti Narcotics Department received a tip-off about her.
After confirming her identity, her luggage was searched and the drugs were found in four out of her six bags, a source from the department said.
The total amount of cocaine found in all four bags came to 7.024 kilograms.
She was referred to prosecution for further investigation.
