QA Engineer - Petrofac International - Sharjah

Scope of Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and direct quality program designed to ensure consistency with established standards. Establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product and direct inspectors over testing activities

Roles and Responsibilities:
List procurement inspection criticality for various items and prepare audit schedules and vendor quality requirements. Review / approve supplier / sub-contractor quality plans, review and approve project material certification, Review and approve supplier / subcontractor data reports.

Review contract documents to ensure identification and comprehension of quality requirements.

Participate in internal & external audits and assessments.

Supervise Sub-contractor QC personnel.

Implement Project inspection and test Plans, collate Inspection Results, coordinate field inspection activities of Petrofac and Third Party Inspection agencies

Identify specific requirements in the contract, which require to be addressed separately and need to be controlled through specific procedures. Prepare accordingly documents relevant to data control, inspection reporting procedure, technical queries and procedures for concessionary reports.

Assess vendor for compliance to ISO 9000 and their capability in meeting specific project requirements on materials, welding, painting. Identify areas requiring reinforcements and rectification before placing a purchase order.

Review vendor documents like ITP (Inspection Test Plan),WPS(Welding Procedure Specifications), NPR(Non Destructive Testing Procedures) ,FAT(Factory Acceptance Testing ) and Paint procedures. Performing review includes verifying suitability to design conditions, understand service requirements and verifying consumable suitability. Also identify interventions required by PFI and client inspectors.

Coordinate all inspection requirements for TPI inspector’s .Set up a system for tracking inspection notifications and execution of inspection until a release note is issued. Control the number of inspection visits to restrict to budgeted figure. Perform a few field inspections at local vendors. Verify product for its compliance to approved data sheets drawings, witness testing as approved by ITP. Produce necessary inspection report and release notes.

Integrate with and work along side the quality team and perform all related tasks as and when requested by the supervisor.

Provide technical inputs for vendor queries, conformance reports and non-conformance reports. Review vendor queries, CR (Conformance Reports), NCR (Non Conformance Reports) for possible resolutions and analyze fitness to purpose. Provide necessary recommendations that need to be forwarded to the client.

Qualification:
Engineering Graduate with 10 years of relevant Experience. Certifications in Auditing, Welding & NDT is preferred.
